Why is the wind loading in a solar panel important?
The first impacts the panels wind-facing side, while the second is the pressure on the underside of the panel. Due to these two exposed pressures on a panel in coastal areas, wind load is a key factor that should be considered when deciding on a solar panel brand for your solar system.
The panels wind load strength also determines how close to the edges of the roof the panels must be installed. The lower the wind load, the more setback from the gutter and the ridge should be allowed for, meaning legally less area of the roof is available to install the panels safely.
Unfortunately, in the current solar boom, cheap and low wind load panels with thin frames are still installed in wind load areas of the roof, which are too exposed for these panels to handle in the long run. Long term this will lead to solar panel failures and the owner most likely will see the warranty declined by the manufacturer, as the panels were not installed in line with manufacturers install guidelines. Unfortunately, by then many of the come and go solar installation companies will have disappeared, as have over 730 since 2010, leaving th homeowner to foot the panel replacement bill.
LG panels have a very high front and read wind load. With their 400 mm frame their strength compares favourably to competitor modules with 30 mm and 35mm frames, often offering double the wind resistance than cheaper competitors.

Why is it important to use inhouse staff as installers, instead of subcontractors?
In contrast to subcontractors where we cannot always guarantee their level of expertise and reliability. It can be much more a hit and miss affair. Furthermore, due to our passion for quality we put quality training of our staff at the forefront of our development program.
Another reason we prefer in house staff is that we need to make sure our staff shares our passion for renewable solutions and are passionate about your job. This is because when selecting our employees we follow a strict criteria which ensures that our inhouse installers enjoy their jobs and feel pride in their work. This in turn develops as a passion for each project that they work on, allowing us to deliver a high quality project for every one of our customers.
